High-quality dog food, direct from the manufacturer

You’re standing in front of a shelf full of bags, and they all promise the same thing: complete, healthy, the best for your dog. At first glance, there seems to be little difference. The difference lies on the back of the packet, in the ingredients, and in who made it.

We produce our own food in our own factory in Steensel. No middlemen, no private labels from unknown manufacturers. You’ll notice this in the price per kilo, and it also means we know exactly what’s in the bag that arrives on your doorstep.

What does ‘natural dog food’ actually mean?

“Natural” is not a protected term. There is no quality mark that determines when a manufacturer is allowed to put the word on the packet. That is why it does not mean much on its own, and you have to look at what lies beneath it.

We take a practical approach. High-quality ingredients, a formulation tailored to a dog’s needs, and no artificial fragrances, colourings or flavourings to make something appealing that isn’t naturally so. You can see exactly what this means in our steamed sausages: the lamb variety consists of 78.5 per cent lamb, supplemented with rice, carrots and apple.

Furthermore, we use high-quality raw materials that comply with FEDIAF requirements, the European guidelines on the nutritional value of animal feed. Our production processes adhere to GMP+ standards for food safety and quality assurance.

Dog food without unnecessary additives

A dog doesn’t need colourings to eat everything in its bowl. That’s why we don’t use any preservatives or artificial fragrances, colourings or flavourings.

Whatever goes into it is there for a reason. Vitamins, minerals and trace elements, so that a meal is complete and you don’t need to supplement it. Some recipes contain ingredients with a specific function: linseed, salmon oil and dried Antarctic krill as a source of omega-3 fatty acids for

skin and coat, or FOS (fructo-oligosaccharides) to support bowel function.

Extruded, crunchy or steamed: which dog food is right for your dog?

Most people’s doubts aren’t about the brand, but about the type of kibble. In short:

Pressed dog food are compressed under low pressure. They break down quickly in the stomach and are therefore easy to digest.

Extruded dog food (Croc) are extruded and lighter in texture. They require more chewing and come in many varieties.

Steamed dog sausages They are soft and juicy. Ideal for fussy eaters, as a complete meal or as a supplement to dry food.

It also depends on your dog’s age, size and whether it has any sensitivities. You can filter by these criteria in the menu above, or you can use the Feed Finder. They’ll ask you a few questions and put forward a proposal, so you don’t have to compare options yourself.

From a sample pack to a 15-kilo bag

It’s best not to switch providers without doing your research. With a sample pack Order three one-kilo bags to get an initial idea of what your dog thinks of them.

If you like it, it works out much cheaper per kilo. Select Vlees Plus costs 3.54 euros per kilo in the 5-kilo bag and 2.21 euros per kilo in the 15-kilo bag. Our kibble is available in packs ranging from 1 to 20 kilos, and our sausages in 400 and 900-gram packs.
