A dog treat comes in handy in lots of situations. You can use a treat to reward good behaviour, whilst practising a new command, or simply as a little treat in between.
Small dog treats are often the most practical for training. You can give them quickly, and your dog can then carry on with the exercise straight away. For a quiet moment, however, you might want to choose a treat that keeps your dog occupied for a little longer.
The Puro range includes our own Purootjes, as well as other tasty snacks and treats for dogs.
Which snack is best depends on your dog and the occasion on which you want to give it to them. For example, consider the size, texture and ingredients of the product.
A small dog will usually be happy with a smaller snack. For larger dogs, the size can be a bit more substantial. Your dog’s age, chewing strength and any sensitivities may also be a factor. You should therefore always check the product information before making a choice.
Would you like to use dog treats during training? If so, choose a small size that’s easy to carry around. That way, you can reward your dog regularly without having to keep interrupting the training session.
A treat is a little something extra. So do bear in mind the number of snacks your dog receives throughout the day. Especially when several people are giving him treats, the total amount can easily add up without you realising.
This happens, for example, when you take your dog to the office. Everyone enjoys it, and before you know it, your dog has been given a treat by several colleagues. By being mindful of what and how much you give, a treat remains a truly enjoyable moment.
At Puro, we love healthy, fit and happy dogs. That’s why we don’t just look at what dogs enjoy, but also at what forms part of a responsible care routine.
Browse our range of dog treats and find out which one suits your dog best. Whether you’re out and about, training or simply treating them to a well-deserved treat.
Dog treats are ideal as a reward during training, for good behaviour or as a little treat. Choose the size and type of treat that suits your dog and the occasion.
Small snacks are usually the most practical during training. You can give them quickly and your dog won’t spend too long chewing on them. Also, bear in mind how many treats you give during a training session.
That depends on your dog’s size, composition and needs. Follow the feeding guidelines on the packaging and take into account any treats your dog receives throughout the day.
Not every snack is automatically suitable for every dog. Bear in mind your dog’s age and size, their chewing strength and any allergies or sensitivities they may have. You’ll find specific information about each snack on the product page.
