Which trial pack is right for your dog?

We put the packs together based on a situation, not on a flavour. Find the situation that best suits your dog:

A healthy adult dog with no health issues. Choose the Sample pack Pressed or whether it Sample pack Croc. The difference lies in the kibble, not in the quality: extruded kibble breaks down more quickly in the stomach, whilst crunchy kibble requires more chewing.

An upset tummy, loose stools or wind. Take it Trial pack for sensitive digestion or whether it Sample pack Sensitive. It contains recipes featuring easily digestible sources of protein such as salmon, lamb and chicken.

A dog that seems to react to grains. Go for the Sample pack Grain-free pressed or the crispy version Sensitive Grain-Free Taster Pack.

Itchy skin or a dull coat. In that case, it’s Skin and coat sample pack A logical place to start, with three recipes featuring lamb and rice.

What if you like the sample pack?

How to switch without stomach problems

A dog that is suddenly switched to a different type of food may find this upsetting. You should therefore introduce the change gradually. Here is a schedule that works:

End of the day: the last of the “current feed”

The following day: approximately 80% of the normal daily amount of the new feed

The following day: the usual amount of the new food

What do you look out for when assessing ‘how your dog is getting on with a particular food?’

If you’ve been feeding a particular type of food for a while, you can see what the results are. Four things will tell you all you need to know:

1. The stool. You want the stools to be firm and regular. It is normal for stools to be a little softer during the first few days of the transition. If this persists, the food is not suitable.
2. Appetite. Does he eat everything in his bowl, or are there leftovers?
3. The coat. A radiant, healthy complexion doesn’t happen overnight, but you’ll start to see a difference after a month.
4. Energy. Lethargic after a meal, or, on the contrary, cheerful and active.

Give it at least a week or two before you make up your mind. And don’t change anything else during that time: no new snacks, no leftovers from the table. Otherwise, you won’t know what’s causing any changes.
